PART TIME/ON-CALL Vac & Combo Truck Operators

Terra HX is a Hamilton based company. We have several part time/on-call Vac and Combo Truck Operators positions to fill.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to work with minimal supervision with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with clients, colleagues and the public
Complete all paperwork and reports required for operational tasks
Safely operate the hydro vacuum system outside the truck and perform other duties such as clean-up, mobilization and general maintenance
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
Be able to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as the workload dictates
Responsibilities as otherwise assigned by Operational Management

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

Post-Secondary School
Valid D license with clean abstract
Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related field preferred
Must have a minimum of a DZ license
Experience in a labour-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions
Mechanical inclination is an asset

REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES:

Must be Flexible availability
Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work in all outdoor elements
Must be a strategic thinking – look for solutions outside the box, strong problem solving skills
Must have strong written and communication skills, fluency in English a must
Must have excellent team building, interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be cleared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must be able to climb ladder, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights
Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts

COMPENSATION:

Hourly Rate will be solely based on experience and qualifications.
